We will explore the likelihood of experiencing cognitive changes associated with Parkinson’s Disease and the most common ways these difficulties present. Strategies for dealing with these challenges will also be discussed.
Dr. Lande will be providing the Keynote address for Ventura County’s 15th Annual Caregiver conference, where he will discuss basic strategies for improving communication with individuals with thinking difficulties and cognitive impairment. We will also explore how behavior can be understood as a tool to understand the person with thinking difficulties.

We will focus on how to promote mindful awareness, including learning mindfulness exercises to improve focus and relaxation.
Explore how scams catch us and what about the aging brain may make us more vulnerable. We will finish up by looking at the most effective ways to intervene and help victims.
Dr. Lande will be on a panel with Dr. Rebecca Goodman, a Santa Barbara Neuropsychologist, to discuss scams affecting the senior community. This will be part of the 2020 Santa Barbara Elder Abuse Conference.
